Free Crochet Pattern: Little Blue Balloon - Crochet for Children
The balloon is crocheted with Shamrock Yarns 100% Cotton 8/4, which is 100% cotton, and stuffed with fibrefill.
Size
The balloon measures 4x7cm and 16cm including the string.

Use dusty denim blue - no 10
Start by making 6 dc in a magic ring
- Inc x 6 (12)
- 1 dc, inc x 6 (18)
- 2 dc, inc x 6 (24)
- 3 dc, inc x 6 (30)
- 4 dc, inc x 6 (36)
- Make 5 rounds of 36 double crochet stitches (36)
- 4 dc, dec x 6 (30)
- Make 4 rounds of 30 double crochet stitches (30)
- 3 dc, dec x 6 (24)
- Make 2 rounds of 24 double crochet stitches (24)
- 2 dc, dec x 6 (18)
- 18 dc (18)
- 1 dc, dec x 6 (12)
- 12 dc (12)
- Dec x 6 (6)
- 6 dc (6)
- Inc x 6 (12)
Finish with a sl st and cut the yarn.
The string
Use white - no 02
Make 25 ch and cut the yarn, leave a long tail at the beginning of the chain stitch row.
Now, you attach the string to the balloon. Insert the needle up through the end of the balloon and out in the round with the 6 dc.
Wrap the yarn end around the balloon 6 – 8 times and bring the needle through the same round as before and tighten.
Weave in the end and cut.
