The cupcake is crocheted with Shamrock Yarns 100% Cotton 8/4, which is 100% cotton, and stuffed with fibrefill.

• Darning needle for finishing
• Fibrefill
• Possibly stitch markers and row counter

Yarn consumption

Shamrock Yarns 100% Cotton 8/4

• Shamrock yarns 100% cotton – 8/4, colour 02 – white, 4 grams
• Shamrock yarns 100% cotton – 8/4, colour 07 – dusty light brown, 2 grams
• Shamrock yarns 100% cotton – 8/4, colour 08 – dark brown, 4 grams
• Shamrock yarns 100% cotton – 8/4, colour 12 – dark turquoise, 1 gram
• Shamrock yarns 100% cotton – 8/4, colour 15 – bright green, 1 gram
• Shamrock yarns 100% cotton – 8/4, colour 21 – dark Christmas red, 1 gram

dc - double crochet stitches

sl st - slip stitch

tr - treble stitch

inc - increase (2 stitches in the same stitch)

dec – decrease (2 stitches crocheted together)

Instructions

Cupcake

Start with dark brown - 08

Start by making 6 dc in a magic ring

• Inc x 6 (12)
• 1 dc, inc x 6 (18)
• 2 dc, inc x 6 (24)

1 round of dc in the back loop (24)

Make 6 rounds of 24 dc

• 3 dc, inc x 6 (30)
• 30 dc (30)
• 4 dc, inc x 6 (36)
• 36 dc (36)

Change to dusty light brown in the last stitch - no 07

The rest you only crochet in the back loop

• 4 dc, dec x 6 (30)
• 3 dc, dec x 5 (24)
• 24 dc (24)
• 2 dc, dec x 6 (18)
• 1 dc, dec x 6 (12)

Stuff the cake with fibrefill.

• Dec x 6 (6)

Weave the remaining 6 stitches together in the back loop. Cut the yarn and weave in the end.

The frosting

Start with white - 02

Attach the white yarn with a treble stitch in the inner front loop on the cake. You crochet a spiral on top of the cake. There should not be frosting on the last round.

• Make 2 treble stitches in each stitch-loop.

Cut the yarn when you have reached the second last round of light brown, that way you are just able to skim the cake under the frosting.

Weave in the ends.

Sprinkles

Yellow - 26, Red - 21, Turquoise - 12 and Green - 15, you will need approx. 40cm

Embroider sprinkles on the frosting, weave in the ends.
