Instructions

The neck

Cast on 52 (56) s on needle 8.

Knit 19cm rib (K1, P1). This is the neck, so you can choose to knit it a little shorter or longer if you wish.

Yoke:

Now divide into front and back piece as well as shoulders. You knit the front and back piece in fisherman’s rib, and for the shoulders, you use stocking stitch.

For the next round: *K1, yo and SL1* repeat *-* 8 (9) times, K1 (you then have 17 (19) s fisherman’s rib) (back piece). Place a SM. K9 (shoulder). Place SM. *K1, yo and SL1* repeat *-* 8 (9) times and K1 (you then have 17 (19) s fisherman’s rib (front piece)). Place SM. K9 (shoulder). Place SM.

The round now starts right after the right shoulder.

Purl 1 round in the fisherman’s rib on the front and back piece and stocking stitch on the shoulders.

Now you begin making increases. You make the increases in the knit stitches on each side of the shoulders, so you have 4 increases in total in one round.

*Do the following: knit fisherman’s rib until the last stitch before the SM, make an inc in this stitch, knit the 9 s stocking stitch between SM, inc first stitch after SM. Repeat this on the other side.

Knit a round (where you knit the purl stitches in fisherman’s rib, and you slip the knit stitches with yo)*

Repeat from * to * a total of 5 (6) times.

Now you knit 3 rounds, where you knit garter stitches in what becomes the 3 outer edge stitches on the front and back piece.

Do the following:

*Knit fisherman’s rib until 3 stitches before SM, K15 * repeat *-* a total of 2 times.

*Knit fisherman’s rib until 3 s before SM, P3, K9, P3* repeat *-* a total of 2 times

*Knit fisherman’s rib until 3 stitches before SM, K15* repeat *-* a total of 2 times.

On the next round, you cast off the shoulders. *Knit 3 s garter stitch, knit fisherman’s rib until 3 stitches before SM, knit the 3 stitches in garter stitch, cast off the 9 shoulder stitches* repeat *-* a total of 2 times.

Back piece:

Knit back and forth in fisherman’s rib, knit garter stitch for the 3 outer stitches on each side.

Knit until you have approx. 30cm from the transition between the neck and the yoke, measured on the middle of the back.

Knit 4 rounds of garter stitch and fasten off.

Front piece:

Attach the yarn on the front and knit back and forth in fisherman’s rib, knit garter stitch for the 3 outer stitches on each side.

Knit until there is approx. 25cm from the transition between the neck and the yoke - measured in the middle.

Knit 4 rounds of garter stitch and fasten off.

Finishing:

Weave in all ends and wash your neck warmer. Once it is dry, you will have a lovely neck warmer to keep you warm!
