Free Pencil Holder Crochet Pattern using Double Crochet Stitch
This pencil holder is perfect if you a place to store your pencils or perhaps your crochet hooks. The holder is crocheted with the double crochet stitch in Infinity Hearts 2XLace fabric yarn.

bl – Back loop
sp – Spike stitch
A spike stitch is a stitch that is crocheted through the stitches of one of the previous rows.
Instructions
Start by making 5 dc in a magic ring (5).
• inc x 5 (10)
• 1, inc x 5 (15)
• 2, inc x 5 (20)
• 3, inc x 5 (25)
Now, the bottom of the pencil holder is finished, and now you start making the edges. You continue by making a round of dc in the back loop (29).
Hereafter, you make 9 rounds of dc (29).
Once you have made the 9 rounds, you make a colour change – the colour change is made in the last round of dc. Begin the 10th round with a sp, and you hereafter alternate between dc and sp all the way around.
